Ross S. Hunt, CFP®


Ross Hunt is the President and Founder of RMH Advisors, LLC. He is a fee-based, independent financial advisor and financial planner. For over three decades he has devoted his professional career to helping individual investors and their families manage their investment and financial goals - in essence partnering with his clients to pursue their retirement dreams.

Ross is the trusted advisor to a diverse group of individuals and families, including business executives, attorneys, physicians, engineers, professors, retirees, former professional athletes, and many others.

He has built his advisory business by combining a sound asset class investing methodology with holistic financial planning and first-class client service.

Originally recruited for their collegiate track team and ultimately graduating from Miami University, Ross began his investment career as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner in 1981 immediately after graduating from university.

It is interesting to note that while attending Miami University, Hunt undertook over two thousand hours of training (in addition to his academic studies) and worked his way through school as a Professional, Licensed Paramedic working for the Miami University Police Department as well as a Level One Trauma/Emergency Department at a Central Ohio Hospital.

Today, Ross strives to be one of the leading independent advisors in the wealth management industry. He has been accepted to, become a member of and trained with several education-centric financial industry organizations, including: Ed Slott’s Elite IRA Advisors Group, The Strategic Coach program, The Jackson Group (a study group affiliated with the National Network of Attorneys), The Mastermind Group, and various local Estate Planning Groups.

His extensive experience and vigorous on-going education in the areas of financial planning, retirement planning, IRA and 401k income planning, estate planning and investment theory helps him work towards clients objectives – an advisor who combines experience and education to provide holistic planning services to clients across the country, with large concentrations in Southern California & Central Ohio.

Ross is frequently quoted and interviewed for his insight and opinions in both local and national media, and he has been quoted in Wall Street Journal, the US News & World Report, and many other business and financial publications. Ross has been recognized as a Five Star Wealth Manager for the Palm Springs area for 2012, 2013 and 2017.*Award based on 10 objective criteria associated with providing quality services to clients such as credentials, experience, and assets under management among other factors. Wealth managers do not pay a fee to be considered or placed on the final list of 2012, 2013, 2017 Five Star Wealth Managers.

Ross holds a B.S. in communications from Miami University and has attended graduate school at The Ohio State University, The American College and the College for Financial Planning. Ross is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner.

Mary E. Hunt

Service Manager

Mary Hunt is a native San Diegan, born & raised. Prior to meeting Ross, Mary was already active in financial services spending many years overseeing her family's real estate business with properties in SoCal and Kansas. She held a California Real Estate Agent license and has earned her Series 7 and 63 securities registrations as well which are held through LPL Financial. She is currently a Registered Administrative Assistant with LPL Financial.

Mary has experience in risk management and has her life, disability, and long term care insurance licenses. She's particularly knowledgeable in long-term care options that can help protect client's savings from the enormous costs of extended care.

Mary currently acts as the Service Manager for the firm, taking an active interest in our clients and making them feel special. "I appreciate how hard people work for their money," she says. "I believe that "wealth" means love and life and family."

Mary is extremely active in her boy's scouting activities along with Ross and her father (who earned his Eagle Scout rank over 50 years ago!). Between campouts and service projects, there's rarely time for much else.
