Born and raised in San Diego, Mary Hunt is a proud Gen Xer who knows her city, her people, and how to help clients feel at ease when talking about money. Before teaming up with Ross, she managed her family’s real estate business, overseeing properties from Southern California to Central Kansas (a geography that made for some “fun” spreadsheets). She also held her Real Estate License until 2012, when she stepped away from transactions to focus on what she really loves: assisting Ross in guiding clients through thoughtful, down-to-earth financial planning.

Mary holds her Series 7 and 63 securities registrations through LPL Financial and brings a special passion for supporting Ross in helping Gen X, Millennials (Gen Y), and Gen Z navigate a financial world that often leaves them behind. She gets it—many people were never taught how to manage money well, and too many have been made to feel inadequate for not knowing where to start. She’s here to change that. Mary provides straightforward support, minus the condescension, plus a sense of humor. Whether you're new to investing or just want someone who actually listens, she’ll meet you where you are—no lectures, no ego, and definitely no shame.

At RMH Advisors, Mary is the Service Manager, but that title barely scratches the surface. She's the glue, the calm in the chaos, and the one making sure clients feel truly cared for—because they are. “I appreciate how hard people work for their money,” she says. “To me, wealth isn’t just about numbers. It’s about the people you love, the life you’re building, and how good it feels to know you’re on track.”

She and Ross work together—actually together—in the same office, every day. No remote setups, no trading voicemails. They believe in shared wisdom, real-time collaboration, and showing up for each other and their clients. And after spending most of their waking hours side-by-side, they still like each other. (That might be the real success story.)

Outside the office, Mary’s happiest when she’s creating, organizing, or figuring out how to fix something most people would toss. She’s into woodworking, re-engineering anything that bugs her, and playing engineering-style games on her iPad. She’ll enthusiastically dive into a sewing project (results may vary), crank up music from any genre, and keep things running at home like a well-oiled machine. She also rides her Burgman scooter when she gets the chance—because comfort and cool can coexist.

She spent years deep in her sons’ Scouting adventures—alongside Ross and her Eagle Scout dad—and now focuses on helping her grown kids navigate adulthood. Even more exciting: she and Ross are now grandparents. (And no, she absolutely does not look like one.) Most weekends are reserved for real life: scooters, sawdust, sunshine, dogs, and downtime—because balance is everything. Or at least… the goal.
